Detritus from my run-in with canvasfactory

One fateful evening in 2021, I clicked an order button on canvasfactory.com

As per their namesake, canvasfactory.com specializes in canvas prints. I needed a canvas screen backdrop for a small model display, and canvasfactory’s prices were right. I couldn’t, however, see the option on their order form for “no frame”, so I first contacted their customer service department.

Great! What could be simpler? I also paid a small fee for a custom design service, to check for any resolution issues, etc.

My “PRO Designer” replied, and after a little back-and-forth on image resolution, we were good to go!

Excellent! Except, not so fast.

The package which arrived with the courier was not tubular, dude!

Unfortunately, they put it on frame after all. A frame prevents me using it for its intended purpose, and the stretch & staple job means it will never be flat again. “Oh, well, no big deal”, I thought, “Someone didn’t get the memo. Maybe my request got lost somewhere in all the talk about image resolutions”.
